It’s been a few months since i (Ed) have been down to Mermet Springs. So i’m heading back down again, don’t want my skills to get rusty. This trip would be a good time to get dry suite certified.
Located in Southern Illinois, between Vienna and Metropolis. It is stocked with a large variety of fish; it is the home of U.S. Marshall’s 727, as well as many other wrecks. Entry fee is $25 per day. Water temperature is 52 degrees down to 20 feet.. 46 degrees at 45 with 10′ – 15′ Visibility. It’s only 42℉, 20′ visibility at 85 Feet
Can complete open water, advanced, wreck diver, and other specialty certifications at this quarry or just dive for fun!
