The Advanced class is required on many ocean dives and is a prerequisite for Rescue diver and other specialties. Complete 5 dives; deep and navigation and three dives of your choice and complete the knowledge reviews from the Advanced Diver Manual to receive this rating. Can be completed on most of our dive trips.. Class is $200 which includes five training dives, AOW certification card, and a pool with classroom session. $175 without pool session. Must provide mask, fins, and boots. SDI offers Advanced certification after having logged 25 dives and completion of 4 specialty certifications!
Pool and classroom can be completed anytime before the dives. We will cover use of drysuit, underwater vehicle, compass, search and recovery, and numerous exercises. No quizzes or exams. Dives can be completed on a Bonne Terre, Bull Shoals, Mermet Springs, or ocean trip. Some of the dives can be completed at local strip mine.
February 28, 2026, class. You will have the opportunity to do an intro to Dry Suit diving, use of an underwater vehicle, camera, lift bag, and a variety of new skills.
Winter Advanced classes. Great way to continue diving in the winter. Complete pool and classroom and be ready to dive this Spring or join us on an ocean trip.
