Looking for a train to dive? We have students that need to completing their PADI Open Water Certification dives. So Instructor Ed is heading to Mermet Springs, his favorite dive location in Southern Illinois. You probably have seen our previous trips and know Mermet Springs is between Vienna and Metropolis. This time of year the rock quarry has warmed up, but you can still comfortable dive in a dry suit or get dry suite certified. It’s stocked with a large variety of fish; it is the home of U.S. Marshall’s 727, as well as many other wrecks. Entry fee is $25 per day.  Can complete wreck diving and other specialty certifications at this quarry.  As of March 10th 2024 the water temperature was 55 degrees Fahrenheit at the surface and 48 degrees Fahrenheit at 40 feet. If you want to do dive in a drysuit we have six available for rent.

You don’t need to dive both days, you can come down Saturday August 24th or Sunday August 25th and join us.

Drysuit certification, Deep, or some of your Open Water or Advanced dives and other specialties.
