There’s nothing like diving into the water and having a giant ship appear below you as you descend onto it. Aquadiving school travels to many different locations around the world to dive, and no matter where we are there is something either purpose-sunk as an artificial reef, or lost as the result of an accident. Either way wrecks are fascinating windows into the past. Ships, airplanes, trucks, busses and even cars are fascinating to explore and usually teem with aquatic life. Each wreck dive offers a chance for discovery, potentially unlocking a mystery or discovering something others have missed. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular because it offers rewarding adventures while observing responsible wreck diving practices.
The PADI Wreck diver specialty will teach you how to safely navigate the outside of a shipwreck, as well as the interior sections of a wreck that are within the “sunlight zone”. How to survey a wreck use lines and reels and how to avoid common problems. Also you will learn special finning techniques to use while wreck diving.
If you’re at least 15 years old and have earned a PADI Adventure Diver certification or higher, you can enroll in the Wreck Diver Specialty course.
